Studying Japanese

I choose to study Japanese in English because I find the pronunciations of some Japanese words are really similar to English.  Also, it is interesting that people can use "romanji" to type Japanese. I am excited about by learning Hiragana and Katakana, I could "read" Japanese words before understanding the meanings of them. I am really interested in learning the language culture as well. I found challenging that it is easy to make small mistakes in writing and the grammar is a little bit hard.
